Getting teens to talk

QUEENSBAY Mall is organising a special programnme in
conjunction with its High School Musical 2 launch for
teenagers to share their views on life and talk about
issues important to them.

The programme, to be held in a private area at the mall
from 10am to 5pm on Dec 14, is called ‘P.S. I’m Your Friend,
Talk to Me.’

Young psychologist Karen Kow will be the moderator for the
session, which is open to those aged from nine to 16.
Admission is free.

The mall’s general manager Datin Rafidah Jalil said:
“We are targeting about 50 teenagers for the programme.

“This community project will spearhead a few more
programmes of similar nature next year,” she said.

Rafidah said the popular musical had similar goals as
the upcoming programme which was to promote positive
thinking, cha-racter building and achieving one’s dreams
while having fun.

Present were Kow and CP Group executive director Jane Yeo.

Later, the winning group of the My School Rocks dance competition presented a dance on stage. The nine
girls were from St George’s Girls High School.
